Am I looking at White Muscle Disease??
Posted: Sun Mar 08, 2009 8:46 pmI have a doe kid, 2 weeks old, that has trouble standing and when she does get up she has a stiff gaited walk. She has a great appetite, when we put her to mom she nurses well. Sometimes she can get to mom on her own but it takes a lot of effort. No fever, no other signs of anything wrong.
I have given her two doses of BoSe, one at birth that was 1/10 cc, and one at 1 week old same dose. After the second show we saw improvement after 24 hours but it only lasted 3 or 4 days before she started going down again. She was 5 lbs 3 oz at birth. I got mom about a month before she kidded but the person I got her from told me I had 2 1/2 months before she was due so mom did not get the normal BoSe shot 30 days before she was due.
She has a twin that is completely fine, none of the same problems, and is nursing and playing well.
Can I give her more BoSe? And how much and how often? Or am I looking at something else?

i have never dealt with that before. so i am of no help. i have givin up 1/2cc of bo-se
