Whole Goat Care

you know the price of milk per hundred weight but not by the gallon.
the medicine cabinet contains a container of Bag Balm.

your idea of a neighborhood watch is someone calling you to let you know your heifers are out.

you can remember the name of every cow on your farm but the names of your children elude you.

your backyard ends at an electric fence.

ok, not fair!! I am guilty of at least 3 (change cow to goat, calf to kid )!!

I really had to laugh at the last one myself...My backyard IS fenced in electric fence and cattle panels....and it isn't uncommon to see a goat lounging on the backporch!

I have one doe, Mable, that does not think she needs to be in the fenced pasture. She will get out at all hours, browse at will, then when full either come to the house to get your attention, or just jump back in herself. I don't think even a 6 ft fence would hold her!!

That is so funny! My back yard stops at electric fence too!
