Jan,

I am 25 to 30 miles west of Nashville (Charlotte, TN). I can house livestock for a short period.

If you are interested in housing animals due to the hurricanes, please contact your states EOC and get put on their list. They will match people that need help with you.

Just called my local TEMA (states equivilent of FEMA) and was told in the state of TN you must contact either the Ag Extension office or the TEMA for livestock housing. TEMA also recommends getting placed on lists for each individual state, since TN will not assist with livestock placement until all humans and pets are placed. Livestock are considered low on the assistance list and those transporting them will be pretty much on their own for placement until all others are aided.
