with most of us getting ready to start our breeding program or have already started i thought that i would pass this info along.
when i first got into goats in maine i had 2 does come down with ketosis. then i started top dressing the bred does grain with beet pulp & i have never had a doe come down with it since. has any one else had the same experinse?

I have only had one case of ketosis with my own goats, that was last year with Boss and I still have not figured out why she came down with it. But what you said makes sense cause I always top dress the does that are due with either corn, beet pulp or shredded molasses - all very high in natural sugars.
